I cover news and human-interest stories centered on life in the capital city for Mississippi Today’s Jackson team. My work blends a lifelong love of video creation with a passion for journalism, using visual storytelling to connect audiences with the news in dynamic and accessible ways. From short social media clips to in-depth video features, I aim to shed light on the untold stories of Jackson and its amazing communities while providing information they may not otherwise have access to.
I joined Mississippi Today as a reporter on the Jackson desk in January of 2026 after serving as a video intern in 2025. Raised in central Mississippi, I have provided videography and photography for various organizations, including Mississippi State University, The City of Starkville and The Commercial Dispatch. I am a graduate of Mississippi State University, holding a B.A. in Broadcast and Digital Journalism.
As a Mississippi Today journalist, I follow the Society of Professional Journalists' code of ethics, ensuring my reporting is accurate, fair, and independent. I avoid conflicts of interest and decline gifts, money, or favors from those connected to my work. I aim to produce journalism that serves the public good, reflects the truth, and honors the lived experience of Mississippians.
